Fossil and Mo-Clay Museum

UNESCO

Local World Heritage | World Class Nature

The nature on Mors is unique. So unique, in fact, that parts of it are being considered for UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Specifically the mo-clay cliffs Hanklit on Mors and Knudeklint on Fur are currently on UNESCO's Tentative List, meaning they're in the application process to be recognized as World Heritage Sites. More than a thousand landmarks around the world are already on the World Heritage List, which includes both natural and cultural heritage. Some notable examples are the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Great Wall of China, and the Taj Mahal.

More information about the two mo-clay cliffs can be found in the application entry at: http://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/5474/
