Morsø Local Archive

The archive are located in the old dairy at Museum Mors. 

Opening hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-4pm. 


Due to Corona-restrictions, the archive has found it necessary to restrict access to the archive. Access is only granted by booking a time to visit.

For safety reasons only 3 visitors are allowed in the reading room at a time. You can book a time to visit the archive by writing an email to

The duration of each visit is limited to 1 hour. The visit can be extended if there are no other bookings.

If you arrive early for your booked visit, a small waiting area has been set up near the entrance to the archive. Alternatively, you can visit the museum shop, where you can buy a cup of coffee, or you can wait in the museum garden. 

The local archive appreciate your understanding of these steps we have to take. 

The archive has information about people, businesses, associations, and much more from all of Mors, and will happily receive protocols, photos, and other records, for the benefit of local historians, genealogists, and anyone interested in finding information about their house, family, or somthing similar. 

During opening hours, the archive staff will assist with your inquiry. You can also contact the archive outwith regular opening hours. We cannot carry out thorough for our guests, but our records are available for research, and we will help with any advice on the best way to find answers.

If you contact the archive either by e-mail or phone before visiting, we will be able to find the records you need and have them ready for your visit.
