The Archive

The local archive provides access to information on individuals, organizations, businesses, etc. from all over the island. The archive receives and keeps records, photos, and other materials, all of which it makes available for local historians, genealogists, or simply citizens curious to find information about their house, relatives, etc.

During opening hours employees at the archive can help you with any questions, and you're also welcome to contact the archive outside opening hours. We are not able to undertake comprehensive investigations on behalf of our visitors, but we happily provide access to the archives and offer advice on how best to find the answers you're looking for.

We recommend contacting the archive via e-mail or phone before a visit; this allows us to prepare the materials ahead of time.

We Accept Archival Materials

The archive is happy to receive records and photos from Mors. Visit the archive during opening hours or send us an e-mail with a description of your materials.

Christmas on Mors

A new online source has been made available through the Danish Genealogical Society's Library - our very own Jul på Mors (Christmas on Mors). The first 40 yearbooks have been scanned and can be accessed through the Danish Genealogical Society's Library catalog, found here.

The Danish Genealogical Society has a genealogy café twice a month in the study room at the archive. Memory workshops also take place in the study room.
