World class fossils
The Fossil and Moclay Museum displays an impressive collection of fossils and tells the story of the moclays formation some 55 million years ago at the bottom of a large sea. In the collection you will find lots of fossils of fish, birds, insects and trees.
The museum's shop sells fossils, minerals, books as well as ice cream, soft drinks and coffee and, not least, jewelery made from processed fossils.
It is also possible to go fossil hunting yourself in the moclay pits around the museum, and the museum's staff are happy to advise on this in the museum's shop.
