THE EXHIBITIONS

Exhibitions at the Foundry Museum

The Foundry Museum covers nearly 1,500 m² filled with cast iron objects and storytelling about one of Scandinavia’s largest iron foundries.

The museum is spread across two floors. The first thing you’ll encounter is the fascinating story of Morsø Iron Foundry’s history, from its founding in 1853 to the present day. This company history is told through text, photos, and film on the ground floor.

The upper floor is dedicated to the many remarkable products that Morsø Iron Foundry has produced over the years. Here, you can see, among other things, the largest collection of tiled and wood-burning stoves on display in Denmark.

When you return to the ground floor, you are taken through the process of how the factory's products were made, while also getting to know some of the many different types of workers who have been part of the factory’s story. The story is told through objects, immersive sound, film and text.

The ground floor is also home to the museum’s special exhibitions.

Below, you can see a selection of images from the permanent exhibitions at the Foundry Museum.
